J=∫02∫0xyxex2+y2 dy dx+∫22∫04−x2yxex2+y2 dy dxJ = \int_0^{\sqrt{2}}\int_0^x \frac{y}{x} e^{x^2+y^2}\ \mathrm{d}y\,\mathrm{d}x + \int_{\sqrt{2}}^2\int_0^{\sqrt{4-x^2}} \frac{y}{x} e^{x^2+y^2}\ \mathrm{d}y\,\mathrm{d}x

(c) 극좌표에서 직선 y=xy=x 는 θ=π4\theta=\frac{\pi}{4} 이고, 원 x2+y2=4x^2+y^2=4 는 r=2r=2 이며, dx dy=r dr dθ\mathrm{d}x\,\mathrm{d}y=r\,\mathrm{d}r\,\mathrm{d}\theta 이다. 따라서

J=∫0π/4dθ∫02dr rrsin⁡θrcos⁡θ⏞yxer2=∫0π/4dθ sin⁡θcos⁡θ[12er2]02=−12[e4−1]∫11/2du 1u여기서 u=cos⁡θ, du=−sin⁡θ dθ=−12[e4−1] [ln⁡∣u∣]11/2=14[e4−1]ln⁡2\begin{aligned} J&=\int_0^{\pi/4}\mathrm{d}\theta\int_0^2\mathrm{d}r\ r \overbrace{\frac{r\sin\theta}{r\cos\theta}}^{\frac{y}{x}}e^{r^2} \\ &=\int_0^{\pi/4}\mathrm{d}\theta\ \frac{\sin\theta}{\cos\theta} \left[\frac{1}{2} e^{r^2}\right]_0^2 \\ &=-\frac{1}{2}\left[e^4-1\right] \int_1^{1/\sqrt{2}}\mathrm{d}u\ \frac{1}{u} \qquad\text{여기서 }u=\cos\theta,\ \mathrm{d}u=-\sin\theta\,\mathrm{d}\theta \\ &=-\frac{1}{2}\left[e^4-1\right]\ \Big[\ln|u|\Big]_1^{1/\sqrt{2}} \\ &= \frac{1}{4}\left[e^4-1\right]\ln 2 \end{aligned}

(a) On the domain of integration

  • yy runs from 00 to 2\sqrt{2} and
  • for each yy in that range, xx runs from yy to 4−y2\sqrt{4-y^2}. We can rewrite x=4−y2x=\sqrt{4-y^2} in the more familiar form x2+y2=4x^2+y^2=4, x≥0x\ge 0.

The figure on the left below provides a sketch of the domain of integration. It also shows the generic horizontal slice that was used to set up the given iterated integral.

figure

figure

(b) To reverse the order of integration observe, we use vertical, rather than horizontal slices. From the figure on the right above that, on the domain of integration,

  • xx runs from 00 to 22 and
  • for each xx in the range 0≤x≤20\le x\le\sqrt{2}, yy runs from 00 to xx.
  • for each xx in the range 2≤x≤2\sqrt{2}\le x\le 2, yy runs from 00 to 4−x2\sqrt{4-x^2}.

So the integral

J=∫02∫0xyxex2+y2 dy dx+∫22∫04−x2yxex2+y2 dy dxJ = \int_0^{\sqrt{2}}\int_0^x \frac{y}{x} e^{x^2+y^2}\ \mathrm{d}y\,\mathrm{d}x + \int_{\sqrt{2}}^2\int_0^{\sqrt{4-x^2}} \frac{y}{x} e^{x^2+y^2}\ \mathrm{d}y\,\mathrm{d}x

(c) In polar coordinates, the line y=xy=x is θ=π4\theta=\frac{\pi}{4}, the circle x2+y2=4x^2+y^2=4 is r=2r=2, and dx dy=r dr dθ\mathrm{d}x\,\mathrm{d}y=r\,\mathrm{d}r\,\mathrm{d}\theta. So

J=∫0π/4dθ∫02dr rrsin⁡θrcos⁡θ⏞yxer2=∫0π/4dθ sin⁡θcos⁡θ[12er2]02=−12[e4−1]∫11/2du 1uwith u=cos⁡θ, du=−sin⁡θ dθ=−12[e4−1] [ln⁡∣u∣]11/2=14[e4−1]ln⁡2\begin{aligned} J&=\int_0^{\pi/4}\mathrm{d}\theta\int_0^2\mathrm{d}r\ r \overbrace{\frac{r\sin\theta}{r\cos\theta}}^{\frac{y}{x}}e^{r^2} \\ &=\int_0^{\pi/4}\mathrm{d}\theta\ \frac{\sin\theta}{\cos\theta} \left[\frac{1}{2} e^{r^2}\right]_0^2 \\ &=-\frac{1}{2}\left[e^4-1\right] \int_1^{1/\sqrt{2}}\mathrm{d}u\ \frac{1}{u} \qquad\text{with }u=\cos\theta,\ \mathrm{d}u=-\sin\theta\,\mathrm{d}\theta \\ &=-\frac{1}{2}\left[e^4-1\right]\ \Big[\ln|u|\Big]_1^{1/\sqrt{2}} \\ &= \frac{1}{4}\left[e^4-1\right]\ln 2 \end{aligned}

(b) 적분 ∬Gf(x,y) dA\iint _G f(x,y)\ \mathrm{d}A 를 반복적분 ∬f(x,y) dxdy\iint f(x, y)\ \mathrm{d}x\mathrm{d}y 의 합으로 나타내세요. (c) 적분 ∬Gf(x,y) dA\iint _G f(x,y)\ \mathrm{d}A 를 x=rcos⁡(θ)x = r \cos(\theta), y=rsin⁡(θ)y = r \sin(\theta) 인 극좌표 (r,θ)(r, \theta) 에서의 반복적분으로 나타내세요.

x2+(2x)2=x2+y2=1  ⟹  5x2=1\begin{aligned} x^2+(2x)^2=x^2+y^2=1 \implies 5x^2=1 \end{aligned}

(2y)2+y2=x2+y2=1  ⟹  5y2=1\begin{aligned} (2y)^2+y^2=x^2+y^2=1 \implies 5y^2=1 \end{aligned}

따라서 제1팔분면에서 y=2xy=2x 와 x2+y2=1x^2+y^2=1 의 교점은 (15 , 25)\left(\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}}\,,\,\frac{2}{\sqrt{5}}\right) 이고, 제1팔분면에서 x=2yx=2y 와 x2+y2=1x^2+y^2=1 의 교점은 (25 , 15)\left(\frac{2}{\sqrt{5}}\,,\,\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}}\right) 이다.

∬Gf(x,y) dA=∫015dy∫y/22ydx f(x,y)+∫1525dy∫y/21−y2dx f(x,y)\begin{aligned} \iint _G f(x,y)\ \mathrm{d}A &=\int_0^{\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}}}\mathrm{d}y\int_{y/2}^{2y}\mathrm{d}x\ f(x,y) +\int_{\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}}}^{\frac{2}{\sqrt{5}}}\mathrm{d}y\int_{y/2}^{\sqrt{1-y^2}} \mathrm{d}x\ f(x,y) \end{aligned}

  • 방정식 y=x/2y=x/2 는 rsin⁡θ=r2cos⁡θr\sin\theta = \frac{r}{2}\cos\theta, 즉 tan⁡θ=12\tan\theta =\frac{1}{2} 이 되고,

dA=r dr dθ\mathrm{d}A=r\,\mathrm{d}r\,\mathrm{d}\theta 이고 x=rcos⁡θx=r\cos\theta, y=rsin⁡θy=r\sin\theta 이므로

∬Gf(x,y) dA=∫arctan⁡12arctan⁡2dθ∫01dr r f(rcos⁡θ,rsin⁡θ)\begin{aligned} \iint _G f(x,y)\ \mathrm{d}A &=\int_{\arctan\frac{1}{2}}^{\arctan 2}\mathrm{d}\theta \int_0^1\mathrm{d}r\ r\,f(r\cos\theta,r\sin\theta) \end{aligned}
